Where I Can Help

📍Northeastern U.S.: New Hampshire, Maine & Massachusetts

From the White Mountains and Lakes Region to Acadia and Baxter State Parks, I’ve spent years hiking and mapping out New England trails—including the Appalachian Trail, Cohos Trail, and lesser-known routes like the Monadnock-Sunapee Greenway. If you’re dreaming of a scenic New England adventure, I can help you find the best stretches for your pace and experience.

📍Western U.S.: Rockies, Desert Southwest & California

I’ve hiked across the Rocky Mountains and 14ers in Colorado, explored Death Valley, summited Half Dome in Yosemite, and trekked through Grand Canyon, Zion, Arches, and Escalante. I’ve also mapped and documented a new long-distance trail in this region. Whether you’re looking for iconic National Parks or quiet dispersed routes, I’ve lived the DIY, truck-based adventure lifestyle across the West.

📍South America: Andes of Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia & Chile

From the Santa Cruz Trek and Huascarán in Peru to Cotopaxi and Quilotoa in Ecuador, and up to 20,000 feet on Huayna Potosí in Bolivia—I’ve solo hiked, route-scouted, and journaled extensively across the Andes. I can help you navigate trail selection, altitude prep, and off-the-beaten-path logistics throughout the region.

📍Europe: Alps, Tatras, Dolomites & Nordic Fjords

I’ve hiked via ferratas in Switzerland’s Bernese Alps, trekked the Haute Route and Europaweg, explored Gran Paradiso and the Dolomites in Italy, and crossed Iceland’s Laugavegur and Fimmvörðuháls trails. I’ve also tackled dramatic ridge hikes in Slovakia’s High Tatras and throughout Norway’s fjordlands, including Trolltunga and Jotunheimen.

📍Japan: Hokkaido, Honshu & Shikoku

I’ve hiked across Japan for over two months—climbing peaks like Mt. Tateyama, exploring the Five Lakes region near Mt. Fuji, walking the ancient Kumano Kodo and Nakasendō trails, and exploring volcanic routes in Hokkaido. Whether you want a sacred pilgrimage or a rugged alpine circuit, I can help you plan a culturally immersive route.

📍New Zealand: North & South Islands

New Zealand’s dramatic terrain is made for hiking. I’ve explored alpine routes on both islands, including the Routeburn Track, Tongariro Alpine Crossing, Arthur’s Pass, and Mt. Taranaki. I can help with hut bookings, route selection, and pacing for everything from casual treks to full backpacking loops.

Meet Andreas

Hi, I’m Andreas! I’ve lived out of my truck, mapped out long-distance trails, hiked thousands of miles across five continents, and led groups ranging from first-timers to seasoned hikers. For me, nature has always been more than scenery—it’s where I feel grounded, energized, and alive.

Though my career has taken me in other directions, the outdoors has been my lifelong classroom. I’ve led group trips, volunteered as a trail steward, and helped dozens of friends plan everything from quick getaways to international treks. If you’re dreaming big—whether that means your first solo hike or an epic Andes expedition—I’m here to help you make it happen.
