I return almost every year to visit friends in Interlaken and immerse myself in alpine life. I led and researched biking trips throughout the Bernese Oberland, giving me a deep knowledge of the area’s hidden routes, scenic highlights, and seasonal nuances. I’m also well-versed in navigating Switzerland’s train system and familiar with other regions across the country—perfect for crafting seamless, memorable journeys.
• Tuscany• Umbria•
I guided hiking and biking trips across Tuscany and Umbria, and also led specialty cooking trips in Tuscany and hiking adventures in the Dolomites. Beyond guiding, I’ve done extensive research on the best hiking and biking routes throughout Umbria—giving me a deep, insider perspective on these regions’ landscapes, culture, and culinary highlights.
Cotswolds
I've led leading hiking and cycling trips through the Cotswolds, and lived in the UK for several years. I’ve also spent extensive time living and traveling around London and exploring the broader UK—independently traveling through Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, and Devon. My deep connection to the countryside and cities alike helps me design trips that blend iconic highlights with local, lesser-known gems.
• Ring of Kerry• Beara Peninsula • Dingle
I guided hiking and biking trips across the Dingle, Kerry, and Beara Peninsulas, and conducted extensive research to develop routes for future adventures. I know these regions’ trails, coastal paths, and small towns intimately—and love helping travelers experience the wild beauty and welcoming spirit of Ireland’s southwest. (I also took art classes in Ireland, but not sure if we should add that in here)
• Munich• Southern Lakes and Alps • Salzburg• Vienna• Danube towns
I’ve led biking trips from Bavaria to Vienna, with stops in Salzburg and along the Danube. My time studying in Munich added even more local context—and love—for this region’s rich cultural layers and stunning landscapes.
Galicia, Northern Portugal
From Santiago de Compostela to Porto, I’ve led biking trips and camped across this region, researching quiet backroads, ocean vistas, and hidden gems. Perfect for those seeking an off-the-beaten-path Iberian adventure.
I spent several years working at a dive shop and exploring Indonesia’s islands, including Bali, Lombok, Flores, Sulawesi, and Sumatra. I know where to find the balance between relaxation and adventure. While I specialize in Indonesia, I’m also comfortable providing general travel advice for Southeast Asia, offering thoughtful overviews even beyond the places I know most intimately.
• Queensland• Cairns• Cape Tribulation
Australia holds a special place in my heart—it’s where my solo travel journeys began and I have returned many times. I’ve also led active travel adventures trips through Queensland’s tropical north, including Cairns, Port Douglas, and Cape Tribulation. From tropical rainforests and reefs in Queensland to cross-country adventures, I know how to help travelers experience both the icons and the in-between.
I went to college in San Luis Obispo and have remained deeply connected to the Central Coast ever since—it’s still my favorite part of California. I’ve done extensive hiking and biking throughout the region, from coastal trails to wine country backroads. Later, I lived in San Diego, where I became familiar with the area’s beaches, biking routes, and coastal towns. Having grown up in the California, I traveled the full length of Highway 1 many times, and know how to help travelers craft unforgettable California coast road trips.
Rhode Island & Boston
I’ve lived just south of Providence for several years, Rhode Island while studying painting and art. I also know Boston well—it’s my favorite city in the U.S.—and can help travelers explore it both culturally and actively, from historic walks to hidden food gems.
Hi, I’m Kim! I bring decades of experience guiding and designing travel around the world—as an active travel guide leading hiking and biking trips across Europe, working at a scuba dive shop in Indonesia, and an international meetings and events planner. I’ve led travelers through Tuscany’s hill towns, the Swiss Alps’ hidden trails, Ireland’s coastal peninsulas, and Australia’s rainforests—and helped first-time adventurers feel at home around the world.
Today, I bring that wealth of experience into personalized trip design for travelers seeking deeper connection—to a place, to themselves, and to the spirit of exploration. Whether you’re planning a multigenerational journey, a solo trip for self-discovery, or your first big hiking or biking adventure, I’m here to help you feel prepared, confident, and inspired.
In addition to my regional expertise, I can also help travelers navigate broader Europe with ease—offering guidance on everything from hidden train routes to unforgettable local stops across the continent.
I also have a master's degree in nutrition and have a background in art, psychology, and holistic wellness—which means I care deeply about designing trips that feel good on every level, not just the itinerary.
