Where I Can Help

📍Long-Distance Trails & Thru-Hiking

I’ve completed both the Appalachian Trail and the Pacific Crest Trail, and I’m planning a future hike of the Continental Divide Trail. I love helping others prepare for long-distance backpacking—whether you’re gearing up for your first overnighter or ready to commit to five months on the trail.

📍Montana & the Northern Rockies

I’ve lived and worked in Butte, Missoula, and Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks. From iconic national park routes to less-crowded forest lands, I can help you plan a trip that fits your experience level and goals.

📍Grand Canyon & the Southwest

From Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe Mountains to the trails of the Grand Canyon, I know the Southwest’s terrain, weather, and backcountry systems—and how to help travelers navigate it all safely and meaningfully.

📍Oregon Coast & Northern Nevada

I’ve spent time living and working in Coos Bay and Elko, and I know how to find adventure in less-traveled landscapes. Whether you’re looking for desert solitude or coastal trails, I can help you make the most of your trip.

📍Cape Hatteras & the Southeast Coast

From barrier islands to national seashores, I’ve worked along the coastlines of North Carolina and Florida (including Sanibel, Fort Myers Beach, and Fort Myers). I can help with seasonal timing, activity suggestions, and insight into wildlife and conservation efforts in the area.

Meet Lindsey

Hi, I’m Lindsey! I’ve spent the last decade working across eight states with the National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, and now with U.S. Fish & Wildlife in the National Wildlife Refuge System. Wherever I’ve been, I’ve always found myself helping others plan their visits—sharing trail knowledge, route ideas, and safety guidance drawn from real on-the-ground experience.

I’m also a passionate long-distance hiker. I met my husband on the Appalachian Trail and got engaged while hiking the PCT. Thru-hiking has shaped so much of who I am, and I’d love to help others—whether you’re solo, planning your first backcountry trip, or dreaming of months on trail—find that same kind of joy and growth in the outdoors.
