Outdoor Educator | Extreme Athlete
Hi, I’m Mary! I’m a backpacker, climber, writer, and gear nerd. I started hiking as a teenager and have spent the years since chasing long-distance trails, rock faces, and meaningful stories from the backcountry. When I’m not climbing or out on trail, I write for publications like Backpacker, Climbing, and Outside, covering everything from new ultralight gear to first-person trail narratives.
As a solo female backpacker, I care deeply about safety, preparation, and helping people build confidence outdoors. I regularly take first-timers climbing and backpacking, and I love helping them move past intimidation into pure awe. Whether you’re heading to the Camino, planning a quiet route through Joshua Tree, or picking your first backpack, I’d love to help.
Former Professional Guide | Outdoor Educator | Wilderness First Responder
Hi, I’m Katherine! I’ve worked in environmental education for over 14 years, including seven as South Dakota’s Youth Outdoor Education Specialist. I’ve guided canoe and backpacking trips, taught hundreds of kids about the natural world, and helped people of all ages build confidence outdoors.
Now I’m a mom to three little ones under five—and we’re out adventuring every chance we get. Whether you’re looking to plan a trip with kids, get your bearings in the Midwest or Plains states, or finally take that first step into camping or canoeing, I’m excited to help you build something meaningful, accessible, and full of joy.
Former Professional Guide | Outdoor Educator | National Park Ranger
Hi, I’m Sydney! I’ve always found peace in the outdoors, and I’ve built a life and career helping others connect with it too. I currently serve as an environmental education coordinator in Georgia, and I’ve previously worked as a National Park Ranger in both South Dakota and North Carolina.
I’m passionate about helping people of all ages feel welcome and confident outside—whether you’re a parent bringing young kids, an older traveler returning to hiking, or someone venturing out solo. I’ll meet you where you’re at, and help you plan a trip full of beauty, learning, and discovery.
Professional Guide
Hi, I’m Kellie! I quit my 9-to-5 to climb full-time, living on the road for years and exploring some of the best crags in North America. From Smith Rock to Moab, El Potrero Chico to Squamish, I’ve climbed all over and love helping others plan their own climbing trips—whether it’s finding the best routes, avoiding crowds, or getting the beta on van life. If you’re a solo traveler, first-time adventurer, or looking for epic climbing destinations, let’s chat!
